What is the XY slide table used for on a laser marking machine?
The XY slide table on a laser marking machine solves one fundamental problem: the galvo scan field is limited in size (typically 110×110 mm to 300×300 mm), but many workpieces — especially large mold plates — are much bigger than that.

What it does The XY slide table is a servo-motor-driven platform that moves the workpiece in precise X and Y increments underneath the fixed laser head. When the galvo finishes marking one section, the table shifts the workpiece to the next position, and the laser marks again — repeating until the entire surface is covered.
The result is seamless large-area marking with no visible seam or misalignment, even across a 600mm&600mm or larger mold plate.
